Top Bathroom Floor Tile Recommendations from the Leading Rockledge, FL Bathroom Designers

Soaking tubs, pendant lights, double sinks; when it comes to bathroom remodeling projects, there are a lot of decisions that need to be made. While each component plays an integral role in the overall form, function, and look of the space, there’s one element that is arguably the most important: the floor.

Whether a powder room, a three-piece bath, or a master bathroom, the floor is the largest surface in the space. As such, it has a direct impact on the overall look and feel of a bathroom; however, it also needs to be incredibly durable and should be easy to maintain. Of all the different types of flooring materials available, tile is the most popular and most practical option.

There are numerous bathroom tile floor options available in an assortment of materials, colors, patterns, and styles. When selecting a tile floor material, it’s important to choose a material that will prevent moisture penetration, can withstand wear and tear, and that provides some degree of grip so that it won’t get so super-slick and pose safety risks. If you’re trying to decide which type of material to choose for your Brevard County bathroom remodel, the following options are highly recommended by professional bathroom floor tilers.

Vinyl

Of all the different types of bathroom flooring materials, vinyl is, by far, the most popular. It’s cost-effective, durable, cost-effective, requires minimal maintenance, and offers a decent amount of slip resistance. It’s also available in an assortment of styles, colors, and patterns. Top-rated Rockledge, FL bathroom designers can assist you with selecting the perfect vinyl tile – and will expertly install it – to create an aesthetically pleasing, beautiful bathroom.

Ceramic

Whether you want to create an art deco, rustic, spa-like, traditional, or modern bathroom – or any other style – you’ll find ceramic tiles that will speak to your tastes. Similar to vinyl, ceramic tile floors are durable and easy to maintain, too, and while the cost does tend to run higher than vinyl, ceramic tile can still be affordable; especially when you’re working with a reputable Brevard County bathroom floor tiler.

They also tend to be cold underfoot; however, radiant heating can easily be installed underneath, creating a truly luxurious bathroom.

Stone

Stone is another material that is highly recommended by Brevard County bathroom floor tilers. Natural stone tiles are made of a variety of materials, such as granite, marble, limestone, travertine, and slate, and they’re available in a wide range of colors, like creams, grays, whites, and even golds, greens, reds, and blues.

Textures are just as varied and can include etched, tumbled, flamed, tumbled, and sandblasted. While stone tile floors are more expensive than vinyl and ceramic, and some types may require more maintenance, a natural stone tile floor can make a really impactful statement.

Some information about Rockledge, FL

Rockledge is the oldest city in Brevard County, Florida. The city’s population was 24,926 at the 2010 United States Census, and is part of the Palm Bay−Melbourne−Titusville Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Rockledge was officially founded on August 7, 1887, making it the oldest incorporated municipality in Brevard County. The name Rockledge, attributed to Gardner S. Hardee, an early settler, comes from the many ledges of coquina rock that line the Indian River. Other sources refer to a man named Cephas Bailey Magruder, who built his home after settling in the area in 1876 near the Indian River. Magruder called his home ‘the rockledge home’ and the name was eventually attributed to the whole town. It was originally referred to as Rock Ledge; the two-word name persisted through the 19th century.Early industry in the area was based on the citrus trade and accommodation for tourists traveling to South Florida via the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway of the Indian River.

President Grover Cleveland and his wife visited the city in 1888.

The town had several large hotels in the late 19th century to the early 20th century that catered to Northern tourists escaping cold winters. These included the Hotel Indian River, the Plaza, and the Rockledge Hotel, all located north of Barton Avenue, looking out over the river.
