How to Prepare for New Rockledge, FL Kitchen Cabinet Installation
After careful consideration and painstaking planning, you and your Rockledge, FL kitchen designers have come up with the perfect layout and design for your full kitchen remodeling project. Of all the important decisions that were made, the style, material, features, and layout of the cabinets were perhaps the most important. Now the day has almost arrived when they’re finally going to be installed, and you can’t wait!
While there’s no doubt that you’re super-excited to have your new Brevard County kitchen cabinets installed if you’re honest, you’re also a little bit overwhelmed, and that’s totally understandable; after all, once they’re in place, you will actually be able to see the idea that you’ve been envisioning becoming a reality – and that really is exciting! Knowing what to expect and how to prepare will help to calm your nerves and ensure the process goes as smoothly as possible.
To get ready the space before your Rockledge, FL kitchen designers arrive, here are some tips to help you prepare for your new kitchen cabinet installation.
Make sure that there’s ample room in your Brevard County kitchen. Cabinets are big and bulky, and handling them can be awkward and may require a lot of space to move about. To ensure that your Rockledge, FL kitchen designers can easily maneuver the cabinets and reach the locations where they will be installed, take the time to make sure that there’s enough space ahead of time.
If you have set up a temporary kitchen to use throughout the duration of your full kitchen remodeling project, complete with a mini-fridge, a table and chairs, and makeshift countertops, for example, make sure that you clear everything out before the cabinet installation is scheduled to take place.
Not only will your Rockledge, FL kitchen designers appreciate that you took the time to make space for them to move about, but you’ll also be glad you removed anything that might be in the way and could potentially become damaged.
Select an Entry Point
What entry point will provide the Rockledge, FL kitchen designers with the most direct access to your kitchen? Often, this is something that a lot of Brevard County homeowners overlook when they’re having new kitchen cabinets installed, but it’s very important, so you definitely don’t want to make the same mistake.
If there are multiple doors that enter your home, select the one that will provide the cabinet installation professionals the most direct access to your kitchen. Why? Well, because they’ll have less area to cover while holding those big, bulky, and cumbersome items, which means that their chances of sustaining an injury will be reduced and because it minimizes the risk of having your cabinets damaged.
Provide Easy Access
In addition to making room in your Brevard County kitchen, you’re always going to want to take the time to make sure that your Rockledge, FL kitchen designers will be able to easily access the space. Keep in mind that cabinets are big and heavy, so it’s a wise idea to make sure that there’s easy access into your kitchen.
Consider the entry point the Rockledge, FL kitchen designers will be using to enter your home – the front door, the back door, a side door, etc. – and make sure that if there’s anything blocking the area, it’s removed so that there’s a clear path to your Brevard County kitchen.

Rockledge is the oldest city in Brevard County, Florida. The city’s population was 24,926 at the 2010 United States Census, and is part of the Palm Bay−Melbourne−Titusville Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Rockledge was officially founded on August 7, 1887, making it the oldest incorporated municipality in Brevard County. The name Rockledge, attributed to Gardner S. Hardee, an early settler, comes from the many ledges of coquina rock that line the Indian River. Other sources refer to a man named Cephas Bailey Magruder, who built his home after settling in the area in 1876 near the Indian River. Magruder called his home ‘the rockledge home’ and the name was eventually attributed to the whole town. It was originally referred to as Rock Ledge; the two-word name persisted through the 19th century.Early industry in the area was based on the citrus trade and accommodation for tourists traveling to South Florida via the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway of the Indian River.
President Grover Cleveland and his wife visited the city in 1888.
The town had several large hotels in the late 19th century to the early 20th century that catered to Northern tourists escaping cold winters. These included the Hotel Indian River, the Plaza, and the Rockledge Hotel, all located north of Barton Avenue, looking out over the river.
