Essential Questions to Ask Before You Hire Viera, FL Bathroom Contractors

Not only does a bathroom remodel improve the style and functionality of the space, but it’s also a major investment in your Florida home.

As such, you want to make sure you get the best results possible, so you don’t want to hire just anyone to do the job; you want to make sure you hire the most reliable Viera, FL remodeling contractors. There are dozens of bathroom contractors that service the Brevard County area, so meeting with and interviewing several remodeling companies is highly recommended before you decide who to hire.

To determine who will best fit your needs, here are some key questions that you should seriously consider asking when you’re interviewing prospective bathroom contractors.

How long have you been in business?

No offense to newcomers to the industry; however, the longer bathroom contractors have been in business, the more likely is it that they’re going to know what they’re doing and that they’re going to offer reliable results. A bathroom remodeling project is a big investment and you don’t want to leave anything to chance. That’s why hiring a Viera, FL remodeling contractor that’s well-established and has been serving the Brevard County for several years is highly recommended.

Do you have references I can contact?

While online reviews can certainly be helpful and you should definitely take them into consideration, it’s important to ask the Viera, FL remodeling contractors that you’re thinking about hiring if they can provide personal references.

Heating And Cooling Companies in Cape Canaveral, FL

Take the time to reach out to at least a few of their references and ask about the services they received and whether or not they would recommend the bathroom contractors. Beware of any companies that won’t furnish a list of references, as that’s a sign that could be a sign that they aren’t as well-established and experienced as they claim, or that they simply don’t provide reliable results.

Are you licensed and insured?

To protect yourself, hiring bathroom contractors that are licensed and insured is highly recommended. A license confirms that the contractors have received professional training and that they’re well-versed in codes and regulations. Insurance protects you from having to pay for any unexpected issues that may arise, such as damage to your Brevard County or an injured crew member. Ask to see proof of each Viera, FL remodeling contractor’s license and insurance, and check to confirm that both are valid.

Do you offer any warranties?

Not only will a warranty ensure your satisfaction, but it will also protect your investment. Reputable Viera, FL remodeling contractors will provide warranties that cover the products that they install, as well as the services that they offer. Be sure to find out exactly what warranties cover, and ask for written documentation so that in the event that something goes wrong down the line, you’ll have the documents to reference.

Do you hire subcontractors or use in-house employees?

It’s best to use bathroom contractors that employ their own team rather than hire subcontractors. When Viera, FL remodeling contractors use their own team, they’ll have more control over the project, but if they use subcontractors, they won’t have explicit control over all aspects of your bathroom remodeling project, such as the schedule and the materials.

Some information about Viera, FL

Viera is an affluent, master-planned community located in the central coastal region of Brevard County, Florida. It is part of an unincorporated section adjacent to the Melbourne, Florida area. For census purposes, it is divided between the Census Designated Places of Viera East and Viera West. At the 2010 census, Viera East had a population of 10,757, while Viera West had a population of 6,641.

The land was developed by the Viera Company, a subsidiary of A. Duda and Sons, which owned the property formerly known as Cocoa Ranch. On August 4, 1989, they broke ground in this unincorporated area for the new community of Viera. It is derived from viera meaning ‘faith’ in Slovak, in honor of family patriarch Andrew Duda, who immigrated to the United States in 1912 from what became Slovakia. Starting in 1990, the Duda family started developing a new community with a mix of land uses, including a variety of housing types, offices, medical and industrial parks, shopping centers and recreational facilities. Todd Pokrywa was appointed President of The Viera Company effective September 1, 2018. Pokrywa named as the incoming president of The Viera Co., replacing retiring Steve Johnson

The family has donated a total of 622.7 acres (252.0 ha) of land to various organizations. The following lists the acres donated, the year, and what the land was donated for:

The Viera Development of Regional Impact (DRI) was approved in 1990 for about 3,000 acres (1,200 ha), making up Viera East. In 1992 construction began on what would become Viera East. In 1995, a 6,000-acre (2,400 ha) expansion was approved by Brevard County as a Substantial Deviation to the original DRI. Application was made for Substantial Deviation #2 in 2006 and was approved to plan for the final expansion of the community. The 11,567-acre (4,681 ha) expansion will include 5,112 acres (2,069 ha) to be set aside as managed protected land, conservation areas, parks and open space.
