Tips to Help You Find the Best Palm Bay, FL Kitchen Remodel Contractor

Of all the different home improvement projects, a full kitchen remodel is one of the biggest and most impactful. It’s also one of the most time-consuming, costliest, and disrupting, as your entire routine is going to be thrown off while the space is out of commission; the downsides are well-worth it, however, as the outcome results in a more functional, aesthetically-pleasing space and a sizeable return on investment.

To ensure the project goes smoothly and that you get the best results possible, hiring the right Brevard County kitchen to remodel contractor is an absolute must. Not sure how to go about finding reputable Palm Bay, FL kitchen remodelers? The following tips can help to point you in the right direction.

Make a List

Start by making a list of prospective kitchen remodeling contractors. Ask the people you know and trust if they can recommend Palm Bay, FL kitchen remodelers. You can also search online. Keep in mind that it’s best to work with remodeling contractors that are local to the Brevard County area, as they’ll be familiar with local codes, will be able to source materials from verified nearby suppliers, and will be easy to connect with. Ideally, you should find at least three candidates that pique your interests.

Schedule Consultations

Once you’ve compiled a list of Palm Bay, FL kitchen remodelers that you’d like to consider, schedule a consultation with each one. Reputable kitchen remodeling contractors will offer complimentary in-home consultations. They’ll come to your Brevard County home to assess the design and layout of your existing kitchen, and to discuss your vision of a dream kitchen. During the consultation process, don’t forget to ask each candidate pertinent questions; for example:

· How long have you been in business?

· Are you licensed and insured?

· What type of experience do you have?

Heating And Cooling Companies in Cape Canaveral, FL

· What will the process entail?

· How long do you think the process will take?

· Do you offer a free, written price estimate?

Consider References

When you meet with the Palm Bay, FL kitchen remodelers that you’re interested in working with, don’t forget to ask for references. Take the time to reach out to at least a few of the references they provide to find and inquire about the experience they had, if they were happy with the results, and whether or not they would recommend using them for your own Brevard County kitchen remodeling project. Any reputable kitchen remodeling contractor will happily share a list of past clients that you can get in touch with. If any of the remodeling contractors you meet with fail to furnish references, proceed with caution; in fact, you should strongly consider crossing them off your list.

Inspect Portfolios in Great Detail

Honest Palm Bay, FL kitchen remodelers will proudly share portfolios of their work with you. Take the time to look through the portfolio with a keen eye, but remember to keep an open mind and focus on the quality of the work, not necessarily the design style. Remember that not every Brevard County homeowner is going to have the same taste as you, so while some of the styles featured in the portfolio may not speak to your taste, that doesn’t necessarily mean the contractor won’t be capable of delivering your dream kitchen. That’s why focusing on quality rather than on design styles is important.

Some information about Palm Bay, FL

Palm Bay is a city in Brevard County, Florida, United States. The city’s population was 119,760 at the 2020 United States Census, making it the most populous city in the county and the largest by land mass. The historic section of the city lies on the mouth of the Turkey Creek and the Palm Bay. Palm Bay has historically expanded south and to the west. The newer section is mostly situated west of Interstate 95 and south of the Tillman Canal.

The Ais people, attracted to the mouth of Turkey Creek at the Indian River by freshwater springs, fish, oysters, and wildlife, are thought to have been the first inhabitants in the Palm Bay area.

The earliest place names for this area on early maps of the late 1700s were Turkey Creek, Elbow Creek and Crane Creek. An 1870 map of the Indian River by John Andrew Bostrom shows the area void of any settlements within about 15 miles of Turkey Creek. The first prominent European-American settler was John Tillman in the late 1870s. Tillman’s wharf marked the mouth of Turkey Creek at what became known as Palm Bay on the Indian River.

By the late 1880s, Tillman was operating a profitable orange and banana grove on the north shore of the creek. He had the most notable banana grove on the Indian River. Tillman’s wharf also attracted settlers, as it was a steamboat stop.
